Education

GRiT has hosted green roof educational symposia on many occasions since our founding in 2008, bringing together hundreds of designers, suppliers, installers, city leaders and community members to share all the ways green roofing can solve so many of our environmental, economic and social concerns.

We hold monthly meetings, often with an expert in one aspect of green roofing, from waterproofing to vegetation to policy development.

Our next green roof tour and education event is at the Tri-Cities Waste Water Treatment Center in Oregon City, at the confluence of the Clackamas into the Willamette river in Spring 2023.
