Join us for a tour of the Portland City Hall vegetated (green) roof on Thursday December 11th at 4:00pm.  We will meet in the lobby of the Portland City Hall, please be prepared for a security screening.  There is a 15 person limit, so please RSVP in advance to secure your place (Morris@GreenUpRoofing.com).  There is street parking and several nearby garages.

Vegetated roofs are used for on-structure stormwater management, reduction of the Urban Heat Island effect, air quality improvement, and migratory pollinator habitat among other benefits.  They also create rooftop amenity spaces that can have a major, positive impact on building occupants.  The Portland City Hall is a great representative of the hundreds of green roofs adorning greater Portland area buildings. Ecoroofs Oregon is currently maintaining the roof and will be on the tour for questions.  IIBEC Chapter Meeting will be held afterward at Loyal Legion 5:00 - 6:30.
